Thank you to all that came out for our Annual Meeting last night. Our 83rd Annual Meeting of the Members was at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 15 at our headquarters facility at 1732 Finney Road, Murphysboro, Ill. This year’s annual meeting was held outside, drive-in style. Gates opened for registration and food service at 4:30 p.m. Boxed hot dog dinners & drinks were provided to all in attendance, and $20 bill credits were issued to each registered member.
Due to a mistake with the Illinois Country Living magazine printer, Annual Meeting barcodes were found to be not scannable when printed on the registration card section of the magazine cover. We were informed a postcard was mailed out to all members on July 1 with corrected information. It is also being brought to our attention these post cards did not begin hitting mailboxes until July 15th, the day of the Annual Meeting. We apologize for this delay. Registration postcards were NOT required to register/attend, but instead intended to expedite the registration process.
The business meeting took place outdoors on-stage with limited seating. Six directors were re-elected this year, three from 2020 and three for 2021. New business included updating the bylaws.
