Until February 14, 2020 the board of directors accepted application for a vacant board seat due to a retirement. Gilbert Kroening is a long-time Carbondale resident and retired professor from SIU Carbondale. At Gil’s retirement in December of 2019 he had been an Egyptian Electric Cooperative board member for nineteen years.
The board appointed Rick Asaturian of Carbondale as his replacement on Tuesday, February 25, 2020. He is the Vice President and Director of Building Systems Engineering at Asaturian-Eaton & Associates in Carbondale where he has been employed there for 36 years. Rick obtained his Architectural Degree from SIU Carbondale. He has been married to his wife, Suzanne for 33 years and together have two daugthers. Welcome Rick!
