By rounding up your monthly bill to the next whole dollar through our Operation Round Up program, you can
contribute to a collective effort that provides financial assistance to local organizations. For the traditional roundup option, members contribute an average of $0.50 per month or $6 per year. Here’s how it works.
Consumer-members can voluntarily opt into the program, allowing Egyptian Electric Cooperative (EECA) to round up your monthly bill to the next whole dollar or other designated amount. Each month, your EECA statement will show the Operation Round Up amount as a line item, as well as the accumulated year-to-date amount, which is tax deductible. These Operation Round Up funds funnel into our Egyptian Electric Charitable Fund, a 501 (c)(3) organization. To sign up for Operation Round Up or to learn more, click here.
In the three years since the program began, we have raised over $11,500 and awarded $6,500 in grants that have supported initiatives that provide local children with backpacks and school supplies, as well as toys and books on Christmas morning. It has also contributed vital funds to a local animal shelter and organizations that provide meals to those in need.
