Three Directors Re-Elected to Serve on EECA Board

MURPHYSBORO, IL – During Egyptian Electric Cooperative Association’s (EECA) 87th Annual Meeting of the Members, held July 10, consumer-members re-elected three directors to serve on the Cooperative’s Board of Directors.

In a contested election with four candidates vying for three open seats, the membership re-elected Kevin Liefer of Red Bud, Kevin Bame of Murphysboro, and Ken Jarrett of Jacob to continue serving on the Board.  Each will serve a new three-year term.

EECA’s Board of Directors consists of consumer-members elected on a rotating basis to represent the cooperative’s membership. Alongside the Executive Vice President/General Manager and management team, the Board meets monthly to monitor the cooperative’s financial position, review policy, and stay informed on key operational matters.

Board elections are held annually during the cooperative’s Annual Meeting. Regular board meetings are typically scheduled for the last Tuesday of each month at EECA headquarters, located north of Murphysboro.
