Egyptian Electric Cooperative is one of seven owners of Southern Illinois Power Cooperative (SIPC), located south of Marion, Illinois, on Lake of Egypt. SIPC is responsible for our wholesale electric power supply and system transmission.
At SIPC, electric generation is produced on site, as well as purchased through a diverse portfolio of resources. The chart below reflects the generation capacity SIPC owns and contracts. Beyond these resources, SIPC also utilizes the MISO market to buy and sell energy as needed.
